From Friuli's rare Tocai Friulano vines planted in ponca (marl) soils, this mature white displays a deep gold robe. The nose offers profound complexity - layers of apricot jam, honeycomb, and toasted almond unfold with emerging petrol and chamomile notes. The palate delivers remarkable depth - flavors of quince paste, marzipan, and crushed stone unfold with vibrant acidity (6.5 g/L TA) that earned 95 points for its evolution. Aged 30 months in neutral oak, this 13.5% alcohol wine is at its peak now - sublime with foie gras or aged Montasio cheese. The 2011 vintage produced Friulian whites of legendary longevity.
