Building on the legendary status of its predecessor, this vintage presents an even more refined expression with an inky purple-black core and violet reflections. The aromatic profile explodes with crème de mûre, graphite, and an exotic spice blend of star anise and vanilla pod. On the palate, the wine showcases extraordinary density balanced by pixelated acidity - flavors of blackberry compote, Valrhona chocolate, and Cuban cigar tobacco unfold with each sip. Aged 20 months in new French oak from artisan coopers, the integration is seamless, earning 97 points for its perfect equilibrium between power and elegance. The finish lasts nearly two minutes, revealing layers of iron-like minerality and crushed mint. From the historic Wight Vineyard's oldest blocks (planted 1963), this Cabernet demands at least 5-7 years of cellaring but already shows remarkable poise. Pair with dry-aged ribeye or wild boar ragù to match its intensity.
