Cattleya 'The Initiation' Syrah '21

From Sonoma's coolest Syrah site, this inky wine offers brooding aromas of blueberry, smoked meat, and black pepper. The palate is dense yet fresh - flavors of blackberry liqueur, olive tapenade, and bitter chocolate unfold across velvety tannins (94 points). Aged 18 months in French oak (35% new), it finishes with peppery persistence. At 14.5% alcohol, it carries its power gracefully - decant 2 hours for venison or eggplant caviar.
