From Paso Robles' iconic Margarita Vineyard, this limited-production Cabernet showcases the region's potential for world-class Bordeaux varieties. The 2022 vintage offers an opulent nose of blackcurrant liqueur, lavender, and bittersweet chocolate. The palate is dense and layered, with flavors of blueberry compote, espresso bean and sweet tobacco, supported by firm but polished tannins. Aged 20 months in French oak (50% new), it displays both power and finesse. The finish lasts nearly a minute, with lingering notes of graphite and vanilla. Decant 1-2 hours and serve with dry-aged beef, braised short ribs or strong cheeses. A standout from California's Central Coast.
